OSMH INFINITE POSSIBILITY FUND DONATION
Posted on December 9, 2024
Holiday Giving continues with our donation to Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital Infinite Possibility Fund. We received a heartfelt message from the hospital regarding the donation:
"Thank you to the employees at Jim Wilson Chevrolet for supporting Orillia Soldier’s Memorial Hospital Infinite Possibility Fund that supports Mental health in the community. Mental health care requires a comprehensive and collaborative approach. At Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, many departments play a crucial role in delivering well-rounded care for mental health patients. From emergency services to outpatient clinics, dedicated teams work together to ensure that each patient receives the support they need.
The demand for mental health services is growing rapidly. Statistics show that 1 in 5 Canadians will experience mental health difficulties each year, and this number continues to rise. Last year, OSMH admitted 4,930 mental health patients and provided care for 13,145 mental health outpatients. These figures highlight the urgent need for community support to help meet this increasing demand."
Brandon Lewicki, Program Director of Critical Care and Mental Health Services at OSMH, emphasizes the importance of community contributions: "Donations supporting mental health care at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital help us provide the best care possible for our vulnerable populations. Thank you for investing in our program and helping us improve the mental well-being of our communities."
We sincerely appreciate the invaluable support the hospital provides to our community and are honoured to contribute to their efforts during this holiday season.
